Coupling the Hexbeam to Your Mast

There are numerous ways to couple the hexbeam to your mast. Below are some ideas and hardware needed to do this.

  1. Couple to a Rohn or Channelmaster steel push up mast

Use the aluminum tube shown in the photo to slip over the bottom of the center post which protrudes below the baseplate. Crossbolt this with a 1/4 inch X 1 1/2″ hex bolt after drilling a hole through it. Then slip the hexbeam and aluminum tube over the top of the push up mast. Crossbolt it a couple times as it is slightly loose in fit and two cross bolts will reduce any wobble.

2. Couple to a Rohn or Channelmaster steel push up mast

With a hacksaw, cut the bottom 8 inches of the center post which protrudes below the baseplate off. Install a one inch flange identical to the one on the top of the baseplate on the bottom as shown. Slip the hexbeam over the top of the push up mast. Crossbolt it (do not rely on the set screws in the flange; they will loosen over time.)

3. Couple to a tower mast

The customer mast must be at least 1.3 inches inside diameter. Slip the hexbeam down into the mast and crossbolt it a couple times if there is any significant wobble using a 1/4 inch hexbolt of sufficient length.

4. Couple to a tower mast

Using two of the pipe to pipe clamps, couple the bottom of hexbeam center post to the customer mast.
